Allinformation.com- War and conflict raging in some parts of the world makes the former Soviet Union leader Mikhail Gorbachev is concerned. If not addressed, there was a possibility of the cold war between the West and Russia as the former Soviet Union will again occur on earth.
"The world is on the brink of the cold war. Some people even gave say the war has already begun," said Gorbachev in the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall in Germany, as published by the BBC, Sunday (09/11/2014).
The man who once ruled the land of Russia and other former Soviet Union states was pointed out, the ongoing bloodshed in Europe, especially Ukraine and the Middle East is a sign of war.
More than 4,000 people have been killed in fighting between the Ukrainian military and pro-Russian rebel who seized power in the eastern Donetsk and Luhansk in April 2014 ago.
"For the peace dialogue should be of great concern to the parties involved," said Gorbachev.
Currently, Ukraine is still in crisis, where the military government and rebel groups continue to fight. US government backed militia stronghold, while the rebels supported Russia.
The West, led the United States to impose sanctions on Russia previously associated annexation of Crimea to Moscow. Sanctions in the form of denial of visas and freezing the assets of a number of Russian officials and lawmakers as well as those nearest the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, to punish Moscow.
Mikhail Gorbachev were assessed once asking the West to lift sanctions and urged to hold peace dialogue with Russia.
Mikhail Gorbachev is known as the leader of the Soviet Union in the late 1980s which was considered successful in restoring relations with the West, and liberal effect to cause the collapse of the communist regimes in Eastern Europe.
The collapse of the Berlin Wall is a symbol of the decline of communism in Germany, which paved the way merging two states of Germany (East and West) on October 3, 1990.
